Fireworks That Emit Oxygen

I don’t know who to contact — NASA, ISRO, or some random scientist — but I really want this to happen. Come on, wouldn’t you want something that everyone enjoys, is a treat to the eyes, and doesn’t cause pollution? Instead, it provides oxygen!

A weird fantasy, I know. I get you. But it’s the 21st century — we’ve done so many bizarre things. Why can’t we try this? Any scientist readers here? This is my humble yet strong appeal.

I’m from India, and fireworks here are a big deal. They’re given more importance than the bride and groom at a wedding, than Lakshmi Pooja during Diwali, and than the purpose of any celebration. So, my scientist friends — you must accept my request!

In India, firecrackers are also a major source of livelihood in Sivakasi — a friend once told me this. I don’t want the people there to suffer. That’s why I came up with this idea after a lot of thought.

I don’t burst crackers myself, as they cause pollution and scare my fur friends. But I’ll be honest — I love watching them light up the sky. I love the sparkle they create, as if they’re expressing people’s happiness. Still, those reasons aren’t convincing enough for me to buy them.

I promise, the day my Oxycrackers (my hypothetical firecrackers that provide oxygen) are launched in the market, I’ll be the happiest person around — and I’ll buy most of them! They can be pricey; I won’t mind, because I’d rather pay for something that gives life than something that takes it.
